Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., Hitachi, Ltd. and Sumitomo Corporation were awarded a contract by State Railway of Thailand to design and build an Electric and Mechanical system, as a full turn-key package, for Red Line Construction Project. The contract price is approximately 32.399 billion Thai Baht and completion of the construction is expected in 2020.

Set to revolutionise travel on the East Coast from 2018, the Virgin Azuma will be one of the most advanced trains on the UK’s rail network, and will embody the customer-centric approach which Virgin Trains is famous for.
The 140,400 square-feet plant, located in Medley, FL., will manufacture 136 cars and 272 motor bogies to replace the County’s Metrorail fleet. The Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works contracted the production to Hitachi Rail. The plant was completed in approximately six months and received the Certificate of Occupancy the first week of January 016.
