Lesjöfors gears up in the expanding Lithuanian market
Lesjöfors has started extensive marketing activities in the Baltic States, the most developing economies in Europe. The opportunity for growth is great thanks to local presence.
Great interest from local companies
A rising industrial trend is that a lot of European companies opens manufacturing plants in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia with assembling jobs and projects which include a great deal of manual operations. Lesjöfors production plant in Latvia operates since 2003 and has successfully intensified business with supporting sister companies in Europe. The Latvian company also operates actively in the local market and has a local web site www.lesjofors.lv. Since Lesjöfors manufactures spring components in the Baltic region, the local companies are highly interested in cooperation to avoid high transportation costs and to get fast service of component supply.
“Lesjöfors already has a strong presence in Latvia, but we also highly believe that the market in Lithuania has a great potential. We now actively work to help also Lithuanian companies with support from Lesjofors”, says Ingars Jaunzems, MD of Lesjofors Springs LV in Latvia.
New website in Lithuania
In November 2013, a new mini web site www.lesjofors.lt was launched, translated into Lithuanian language and targeted to strengthen business in this region. The web site provides all the major information about the Lesjöfors Group and its´ core business. It is also easy for customers to send inquiries of their required components. Marketing activities towards the Lithuanian market is currently managed from Lesjöfors´ plant in Latvia, since the distance is very close and the business conditions in these countries are rather similar.
“We are also marketing Lesjöfors through other web activities, participation in various technical exhibitions in local markets and of course daily visits to customers in their plants where we inform about our production and technical capacity”, says Ingars Jaunzems.

Currently, the closest activity where to meet Lesjöfors in the Baltics is the fair TECHINDUSTRY that runs from 5th to 7th of December at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre in Riga.
