Appeal for information following serious RTC on Hale Drive, Speke

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Speke this evening (Thursday, 28 February 2019).

Emergency services were called to Hale Drive following a collision involving three cars (a white Ford Fiesta, a red Ford Fiesta and a red Ford C-Max) and two cyclists.

Both cyclists, a man and a woman who are believed to have been together, suffered serious injuries and have been taken to Fazakerley Hospital.

Inquiries are ongoing to identify next of kin.

The drivers of the three cars stopped at the scene and are assisting officers with their inquiries.

A road closure is currently in place at the junction of Hale Drive and Western Road and the junction of Hale Drive and Dunlop Road and diversions are in place. Please avoid the area and plan your journeys accordingly.
