Appeal following exposure incident in Lesnes Abbey Woods

Met detectives are appealing to members of the public for information after a man exposing himself was seen in Lesnes Abbey Woods, Bexley on Tuesday, 2 September.

The man was seen passing through wooded areas and walking along paths before reaching B213 Abbey Road, to the north of the woods.

The man is described as black and 6ft tall with a large, muscular build and very short hair.

Detectives have produced an e-fit likeness of the suspect. Any witnesses are asked to come forward and share information with police.

Detective Constable Katie McGinn, who is leading this investigation, said: "We understand the impact hearing about this incident will have on the local community, particularly regular visitors and young families who come to Lesnes Abbey Woods.

"We are determined to identify the suspect and are calling on anyone who frequents Lesnes Abbey Woods to share information.

"Were you in or around the area on Saturday, 2 September? Did you see anything out of the ordinary? Do you remember seeing any individual who looks similar to the e-fit?

"If so, please do come forward. Contact us by calling 101 and quote reference 1915/02SEP."
