Mondelēz International launches #ProudlyMadeHere on World Chocolate Day, celebrating the people, places and passion behind every bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk

Mondelēz International, custodians of Britain’s most loved chocolate brand Cadbury, has launched a new campaign shining a light and championing the people and sites that make Cadbury Dairy Milk the nation's favourite chocolate.

On World Chocolate Day, #ProudlyMadeHere celebrates the dedicated people and iconic sites across the UK who pour craft, care and pride into every bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate.

The chocolate journey

An animated short film follows the chocolate from bean to bar, tracing a journey that spans our people and communities across the country:

• Chirk, North Wales: where expert teams roast cocoa beans, unlocking the rich, distinctive flavour at the heart of every Cadbury Dairy Milk bar

• British dairy farms: where farming partners supply the fresh milk that gives Cadbury Dairy Milk its uniquely creamy taste.

• Marlbrook, Herefordshire: where skilled colleagues craft the chocolate crumb, the ingredient that has defined Cadbury's flavour for generations.

• Bournville, Birmingham: the spiritual home of Cadbury since 1879, where chocolate makers blend tradition with innovation to create the bars the nation loves.

• Minworth, West Midlands: where distribution teams ensure Cadbury Dairy Milk reaches shelves and homes across the country.

John Gurney, Production Team Leader at The Cadbury Marlbrook factory said:

“I have proudly worked at The Cadbury Marlbrook factory for 39 years. Working at Marlbrook has become a real family tradition for us. My dad spent more than 30 years there as a maintenance man, my brother has also completed 25 years of service, and my two brothers-in-law were and are part of the Marlbrook family. We are all incredibly proud to work here and firmly believe that we produce the best quality chocolate crumb in the world.”

#ProudlyMadeHere also highlights Mondelēz International's contribution to the UK economy. New data reveals that in 2025, Mondelēz International:

• Contributed more than £2.3 billion to the UK economy, with 40% of this generated in the West Midlands.

• Spent £1.3 billion with UK suppliers.

• Employed more than 3,800 people and supported over 6,000 jobs across the UK supply chain.

• Produced 1.5 million Cadbury Dairy Milk sharing bars every day.
