Raising FRB competences

ESVAGT is investing significantly in strengthening and developing Fast Rescue Boat (FRB) sailing skills for its employees.

After mapping and evaluating every employee’s sailing skills, ESVAGT is investing heavily in further developing their competences:

“It is absolutely essential that ESVAGT continually develops its FRB competences,” says Steffen Rudbech Nielsen, Head of Ship Management, Operation:

“ESVAGT’s success is based on providing services that our competitors cannot match – and to a large extent, that is linked to the high standard of our competences and constant training in sailing FRBs,” he says.

A team of dedicated FRB assessors will work full time to raise the FRB competences of their colleagues out on the vessels – initially for a period of 6 months. The assessors have already visited 10 vessels and raised the competence level of 20 colleagues so far:

“All ESVAGT seamen need to be able to sail FRBs and sail them well – and this is something that we are investing heavily in now,” says Steffen Rudbech Nielsen.
