Q-Park Queen Square receives nomination for EPA Awards 2017

Q-Park, one of Europe's largest independent parking companies has been shortlisted for the prestigious European Parking Awards 2017 for Q-Park Queen Square, Liverpool.

The objective of the awards is to acknowledge those companies in the parking industry who promote qualitative improvements in public car parking and the contribution of parking policy to Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans.

In particular, the awards seek to promote improvements in services provided to customers, effective and sustainable management of the facilities and contribution to urban development.

The calibre of awards submissions was extremely high and after much deliberation by the judging panel, Q-Park Queen Square has been shortlisted in the category for Renovated Parking Structures.

As a recognised provider of quality parking facilities, Q-Park has successfully rejuvenated Queen Square facility, turning the restaurant and leisure area into an attractive destination for Liverpool and the North West. The 601 space car park was only purchased by Q-Park UK in November 2015 and the subsequent major refurbishment is synonymous with the Q-Park quality brand. This can now be likened to Q-Park Liverpool ONE car park which won the EPA New Car Park Structure award in 2009.

The special ceremony will be held on the 20th September in Rotterdam celebrating the finest parking providers within Europe. These awards acknowledge the key providers in parking innovation, design and experience.

Adam Bidder Managing Director of Q-Park UK commented “Q-Park Queen Square is a fine example of why Q-Park prides itself on transforming facilities to maximise the customer parking experience. The improved car park cost an estimated £750,000 and was a complete overhaul including a new safer entrance with secure sensor systems and new innovative parking equipment which incorporates our new Tap & Go system. We’re proud to welcome Q-Park Queen Square into the Q-Park family and especially pleased to be recognised by the EPA Awards committee.”
