Press release -
Rob Shoesmith plans to camp for the new iPhone5 with no money
When it comes to new toys some people will do anything for them, and at first glance it appears Rob Shoesmith is just one of those, but after speaking to the man you get a greater sense of what he is trying to achieve.
Sure, a purpose of this experiment is to be the first person in the UK with an iPhone 5 but it does not stop there. He is planning on getting through this task by bartering with firms for products in return for brand placement and trying their products out in what is going to be a bit of a media storm. He is proving the power there is behind endorsement and he is getting interest from all of the world, ranging from big corporations to people with talents that want to come and join in the fun.
It shows that this former binman certainly thinks outside the box. He found his tech success when he created Problem Halved, an iphone app, whilst still working for Coventry County Council, through his now employers MEDL Mobile.
This again is a prime example of him putting his hard work, dedication, perseverance and all round good personality to show how things can be done differently. To top this all off, any left over money or goods will be donated to charity of which he already has plans for.
Here is a little bit of background of the experiment.
