Press release -

Branch out on your hedge skills

On Saturday 8 March, Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre will be taking people back to their roots by putting on a traditional hedgelaying class.

Hedgelaying is a country craft which has been practised for hundreds of years. It still has relevance in today’s world as the skills learnt on the day are easily transferable to any garden hedge.

From 9.30am to 3.30pm, this expert guidance is on offer for only £25.00 per person and is the perfect way to get into a classic, but very worthwhile and rewarding craft.

The session is suitable for beginners aged 16 and upwards. Equipment and tools will be provided but sturdy boots and outdoor clothes are essential.

For more details and to book a place please contact the Visitor Centre on 01706 373421.
