Grand opening of Europe's first ski airport with a 10 minute transfer to the slopes. Scandinavian Mountains Airport welcomed its first flight today (December 22nd), with direct SAS flights from London Heathrow starting next Saturday December 28th. With transfers to Sälen, Sweden from just 10 minutes, British skiers can fly in the morning and be out on the slopes after lunch.
It’s been a dream start to the winter in Norway and Sweden, with all five of SkiStar’s award-winning Scandinavian resorts now open for skiing. This Friday (Nov 8) marks 50 days until the first flight from the UK touches down at the brand new Scandinavian Mountains Airport in Sweden. Europe’s most convenient ski flight takes just two hours from London Heathrow with bus transfers to the hugely popular resort of Sälen in Sweden in as little as 10 minutes. Award-winning Trysil, just over the border in Norway, is only 40 minutes away.
The Ski Club of Great Britain has publicised its seventh annual national survey looking into the habits and future plans of the UK’s snowsport community. The survey results were delivered at a presentation on Thursday 10th Octoberin London before the findings being made public to all those interested in the current trends.
Winter arrived early this season – the cold and snow have continued, which led to SkiStar’s resorts being in full operation for essentially the entire period. This is the underlying reason that SkiStar can present the best half-year results in its history.

The development of the ski area in Hundfjället, Sälen, located less than 10 minutes from the new Scandinavian Mountains Airport, which is under construction, is a step towards an international ski resort, with Scandinavia's most modern 8-seater express chairlift, new ski runs and expanded snow-making facilities.
The title sponsorship of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Åre 2019 puts SkiStar in the ideal position to acquire new guests. The exposure involved will give SkiStar the perfect communication platform with access to the entire European market.

Now in the second winter Valle will introduce his unique ski school. Valle’s ski school teaches all kids from 3 to 9 years how to ski and to be safe and secure skiers with educated ski instructors from St. Johann’s local ski schools.
