Removed and eased restrictions in Sweden and Norway: this applies at SkiStar

Thanks to the easing of restrictions against Covid-19, SkiStar can finally remove several of precautions, although some will be retained. For example, travelling for all foreign guests visiting the Norwegian destinations will be considerably easier, with no requirement for border testing at entry.

- More people have discovered the Scandinavian mountains during the pandemic, and the importance of spending time outdoors and to have an active holiday with alpine skiing as the focus. That's why we can now also adapt our operations to more normal conditions as restrictions are eased. We will still retain certain precautions such as digital check-in and check-out for our lodgings, digital purchases of SkiPasses and controlled queues for the larger lifts. This creates both reassurance and security for our guests and a more carefree stay for everyone who visits us, says Stefan Sjöstrand, Managing Director and Group CEO of SkiStar.

This applies at SkiStar's Swedish destinations from 9 February:
In principle, all restrictions will be removed; all heated shelters will reopen, the ski bus restrictions will be removed, the digital queue system for the Skistarshop (ski rental) will be retained as an alternative, single queues for lifts will be reintroduced according to previous procedures, all planned events involving e.g. Valle will be reintroduced, as well as regular ski school activities.

Also in Norway heated shelters can be opened, number limits on crowds and in the home/lodgings have been removed and when entering Norway from abroad you no longer need to test yourself (if you have a COVID pass). In addition, restaurants can also stay open for longer. The remaining restrictions will be reviewed by the Norwegian government on 17 February.
