STAMMA have joined 61 other organisations around the world calling for the Right to Stutter on International Stammering Awareness Day. On a day normally flooded with stories about overcoming, STAMMA and other organisations are pushing instead for stammering to be accepted.
STAMMA has signed a declaration alongside 72 other organisations around the world calling for the right to stutter. International Stammering Awareness Day is usually filled with stories of 'overcoming' one's stammer. This year STAMMA and other countries around the world are calling for the right to stammer to be recognised, accepted and space made for people to talk in the way that they do.
STAMMA launch campaign to see and hear people stammer, or stutter, on TV, radio and film. They believe that any efforts to ensure diversity and inclusion must include a drive to ensure that people who stammer are included.
