Umicore Electroplating invites employees to a barbecue
Last Friday, in beautiful summer weather, Umicore Electroplating invited its employees at the Schwäbisch Gmünd site to a company barbecue. More than 140 employees had registered for the event in advance, which meant an exceptionally high participation rate.
The event kicked off with a brief welcome speech by Site Manager Karl Hieber. Afterward, employees took the opportunity to mingle and chat with one another across departments while enjoying grilled fish, steaks, a large salad buffet, and cold drinks. The catering was provided by the Eurest team, which also manages the company cafeteria at the site.
“The great response shows just how strong the sense of community is at our site,” emphasized HR manager Steffen Barth. Nearly all employees who were not prevented from attending by vacation, business trips, or other commitments took part in the event. The friendly, cross-departmental togetherness that characterizes the corporate culture in Schwäbisch Gmünd was thus once again evident.
With the annual barbecue, management expresses its thanks to the employees for their dedication and achievements. “Thanks to the tremendous commitment of our workforce, we can look to the future with confidence even in economically challenging times,” said Karl Hieber.
The barbecue is an integral part of life at the site and underscores the importance of appreciation, team spirit, and personal interaction at Umicore in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
