Umicore and emergency services have successfully conducted an training to optimize cooperation in the event of a chemical leaking. The Malteser service participated for the first time. The focus is on safety management and local cooperation to ensure efficient emergency response measures.
As part of the regular “joint activity” organized by Umicore Galvanotechnik GmbH, a private brewery tour was offered at Hirschbrauerei Heubach last Thursday evening. Thomas Mayer, member of the Hirschbrauerei management team, personally guided the participants through the brewery's production areas, warehouse, and cellars in a competent and friendly manner.

Last Tuesday, Umicore Galvanotechnik GmbH honored the best ninth-grade chemistry students from the Schwaebisch Gmuend region for their outstanding achievements. Umicore Galvanotechnik employees explored the historic roof truss of the Heilig-Kreuz-Münster cathedral in Schwaebisch Gmuend. During the exciting tour, they learned more about the 700-year-old wooden beams and enjoyed breathtaking views from the balustrade. The event ended with ice cream in the market square.
