Vilokan Group is recruiting a Head of Sustainability

The Vilokan Group is a group of companies working for nearly four decades to create environmentally and socially sustainable circular solutions for cleaning industrial process water. In recent years, interest in our sustainable, commercially driven solutions has grown significantly, with sharp increases in demand seen not just in our home market, Sweden, but globally too. We were delighted that our success was recently recognised by Dagens Industri naming the Vilokan Group, “Impact Gazelle of the Year 2023”.

We also see how the sustainability requirements of stakeholders and legislators are constantly being tightened, which we welcome.

Business sustainability drives our entire corporate model. Our value proposition is built on collaboration and we are convinced that it is only through innovative partnerships and shared responsibility, that we can solve global sustainability challenges. Vilokan wants to be an active, innovative partner in this work; especially when it comes to the water issue. In order to continue to create sustainable solutions together with our partners, we need to step up our sustainability work and become even better at communicating sustainability issues in an more educational and engaging manner.

To further this, Vilokan is strengthening its group management with Maria Hernroth, an experienced Sustainability Manager, bringing significant experience working with competence development and education issues, for a number of organisations, including in the Peab Group.

"Maria's unique background with sustainability expertise, broad business experience and a solid pedagogical background made us immediately drawn to her profile," says Johan Brandberg, CEO.

"Being able to take responsibility for the sustainability in a company that has such a sustainable business idea and shares my belief in the importance of collaboration, communication and learning - that's my dream job," says Maria Hernroth.

Maria will become Chief Sustainability, Competence and Communications Officer and will be a member of the group management team. She will take up her position immediately after the summer.
