Press release -

Our love for snow. Great ski conditions in Norway.

Norway is currently experiencing record amounts of snow, and ski resorts are reporting fantastic ski conditions both for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and lots of other winter activities. The ski resorts are seeing number of visitors from Europe that are back to pre-pandemic, and for many resorts actually higher numbers.

"This is the best snow winter in a long time. The conditions are magic, and the powder reports are coming in from the destinations every day" says an enthusiastic CEO in Norwegian Skiing, Camilla Sylling Clausen.
"We have just finished a fantastic Christmas and New Years' week where several ski resorts have reported record visitors' numbers and optimal conditions. The snow keeps accumulating and we are seeing a great increase in international ski visitors that want to travel north this winter" says Sylling Clausen.

In winter, much of Norway transforms into a fairytale landscape covered in white snow. When the mighty mountains and valleys of Norway are covered in snow, there’s only one thing to do: swap your shoes for ski boots.

Go alpine skiing and feel as free as a bird when you hit the slopes! Our best ski resorts are known for their combination of family-friendly hills and thrilling descents suitable for more advanced skiers, as well as their awesome conditions and long seasons.

When it’s time to slow down and take in the scenery, cross-country skiing is perfect. In Norway, kilometres upon kilometres of prepared tracks wind their way between snow-capped trees and across wide mountain plateaus.

For Norwegians, skiing is all about having a good time and enjoying the moment. Many popular ski destinations offer both cross-country skiing and alpine skiing …… as well as fun things to do without skis if you want to change it up.

Nothing beats the sense of freedom you get from plunging down a steep slope on skis. But don´t worry if you haven't yet mastered the art of skiing, or if you feel a bit rusty, you will find skilled ski instructors and slopes for beginners at all of the major resorts.

Find your favourite place to ski among Norway’s best ski resorts or take the family to one of the country’s many child-friendly ski destinations. You can find the latest updates on snow conditions at fnugg.no.
