Event: Stockholm Pride

Stockholm Pride draws half a million people every year, making it swedens largest public event and Scandinavias biggest LGBT Pride. Happening over several days in late July and early August, Stockholm Pride incorporates music, art, lectures, debates and of course a fair bit of revelry, all culminating in Saturdays huge parade through the city and outdoor festival in Pride Park .

The theme of the year is "We are family" When: July 30-August 3, 2013. PridePark is this year in the Östermalms IP. The Saturday Parade attracts some 500 000 people and 50 000 participants.

Stockholm - much more than Pride
Stockholm hosts several other unique and fun eveents throughout the year that bring the citys whole gay scene together, making them perfect for meeting lots of locals in one go. These include the slippery Gays on Ice in February, the wild gay hat parade on Walpurgis (April 30) and the festive Pink Christmas in mid-December.
