New restaurant: Wienercafeet a new classic

Stockholm's new "Grand Cafe" opens on Friday in the exclusive Bibliotekstan neighborhood on Östermalm. Peter Nordin, renowned restaurateur and Daniel Lindeberg, from the two-star Michelin restaurant Frantzen-Lindeberg, as creative leader, will open this "patisserie" that has never before existed in Sweden.

Wienercafeet, is born out of a French tradition of kinship from both Sweden and Vienna. The idea is to form a new type of business, which does not really exist in Sweden or Stockholm. With focus on extreme accuracy, love and attention to details in combination with a unique location, the new "Wienercafeet anno 1904" will be a new meeting point.

- We are very excited about the opening and look forward with great enthusiasm to present a patisserie for Stockholm residents and international visitors. Here you will be able to enjoy a well prepared baguette, a yummy piece of our signature princess cake and a cup of coffee or  a glass of wine, says Peter Nordin

 - We have placed great emphasis on pastries. Cafees are part of the everyday enjoyment and we will offer Stockholms and probably Sweden's best pastries, says Daniel Lindeberg.

Wienercafeet was founded in 1904 by an Austrian pastry chef. Since then, the cafe and pastry shop has been located at the same address, in the heart of central Stockholm. After an extensive renovation, it will open on Friday, september 20.

Address: Biblioteksgatan 6-8, www.wienercafeet.com
Opening hours: Monday-Friday; 07 to 22, Saturdays; 9.30 - 22.00 and Sundays; 9.30 - 19.00

Wienercafeet will be the sixth establishment of Mr Peter Nordin. The others are the classic swedish restaurant Prinsen, Zink Grill, Villa Godthem, Il Tempo and Brut Bar. The 2 star restaurant, formerly known as Frantzén-Lindeberg has changed name to Restaurant Frantzén
