    Yanmar this year celebrates the 50th anniversary of the YFW500D, the world’s first tracked carrier equipped with a Yanmar diesel engine. Created in 1971, the YFW500D was the world’s first tracked carrier and the first in a long line of quality products from Yanmar developed to meet the needs of the times.

    Yanmar has conducted a field demonstration test for the maritime fuel cell system on March 24, in Oita, Japan. Yanmar's maritime fuel cell system incorporates hydrogen fuel cell modules from Toyota’s MIRAI automobile. The system was installed into Yanmar’s EX38A FC pleasure boat for field testing.

  • Yanmar Upgrades Robot Tractor Series in Japan

    Yanmar has announced the upgrades of its autonomous tractor series, which are capable of full or partially autonomous work. The new versions will go on sale in Japan from April 1st, 2021. The upgraded robot/auto tractors will utilize a multi-frequency antenna for stable connection and higher positioning accuracy towards a safer, even more efficient autonomous tractor.

  • "Ishin" Tugboat Equipped with Yanmar Dual Fuel Engine for Reduced Environmental Load

    ​Osaka Bay's first LNG tugboat, "Ishin" was completed at Kobe Port on February 27, 2019 and since March 2020, has been working in Osaka Bay and the Seto Inland Sea guiding large vessels in the area. Yanmar supplied two marine dual fuel engines (6EY26DF), as well as the fuel supply system which included the LNG fuel tank, buffer tank, and gas fuel device.

  • Establishment of YANMAR Energy System Canada Inc.

    Yanmar has announced the establishment of YANMAR Energy System Canada Inc., an energy company that will provide advanced solutions to customers in Canada in gas-powered generation, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The new company is headed by Kazuko Newton, who has extensive experience in the HVAC market in Canada.

  • Yamaoka Scholarship Foundation Continues Collaboration with Bogor Agricultural Institute and Darma Persada University with Ceremony for New Scholarship Recipients

    Yamaoka Scholarship Foundation has operated a scholarship program in Indonesia in cooperation with the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) and Darma Persada University (Unsada) since 2018. In continuation of the collaboration with the two universities, the Yamaoka Scholarship Foundation held an acceptance ceremony to welcome the new scholarship recipients.
