    Kanadevia, MOL, and Yanmar Power Solutions have achieved a world-leading 98% reduction in methane slip during onboard trials of LNG-fueled vessels—far exceeding the 70% target. Backed by NEDO’s Green Innovation Fund, the project aims for social implementation by FY2027, contributing to major GHG reductions in the maritime sector.

  • Yanmar, Sony Form Joint Venture for Underwater Sensing Technology

    Yanmar Holdings and Sony Group have launched YANMAR BLUE TECH Co., Ltd., a joint venture advancing underwater sensing and robotics. Its first project develops high-speed hull-cleaning ROVs with debris collection, integrating Sony’s imaging and sensing tech with Yanmar’s marine expertise to promote ocean conservation and sustainable shipping.

    Yanmar has launched Yanmar Power Solutions Co., Ltd., a new company dedicated to advancing large engine technologies for marine and land-based applications. Formed through the spin-off of Yanmar Power Technology’s large power products business, the new entity will focus on developing multi-fuel solutions to support the maritime industry’s path toward decarbonization and carbon neutrality by 2050.

  • Yanmar Collaborates on Mass-Production Eel Seedling Tank to Reduce Production Costs

    The Japan Fisheries Research and Education Agency (FRA), Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. (Yanmar HD), and Marino-Forum 21 have jointly developed a new tank for the mass production of Japanese eel (Anguilla japonica) seedlings. This initiative is part of a Fisheries Agency-commissioned project titled “Demonstration of Mass-Production System for Commercialization of Eel Seedlings.”
