Yanmar to Provide SHIPSWEB Auxiliary Diesel Engine Management Service Free of Charge

Osaka, Japan, April 15, 2020 - Yanmar Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. is to provide its auxiliary diesel engine management service “SHIPSWEB” free of charge from April 15th, 2020 to March 31st of 2021.

SHIPSWEB is a technology platform for providing customers that manage large ocean-going vessels with timely technical information.

With fears growing over protracted spread of the novel coronavirus, Yanmar has decided support users by offering its SHIPSWEB online service free of charge, so that customers can go about their vessel’s everyday maintenance with peace of mind.

Period

 SHIPSWEB will be available free of charge for the following period:

April 15, 2020 to March 31, 2021

 Note that applications will not be accepted after December 15, 2020.

 Ships with the following engines will be eligible to accept the offer:

    Yanmar Receives Order for Dual Fuel Engines

    Yanmar has obtained an order for two 6EY26DF dual fuel engines as the main propulsion engines for a bunker tanker being built by Keppel Offshore & Marine. The vesssel will be Singapore’s first dual-fuel powered bunker tanker running on LNG and marine gas oil. The engines, as well as the liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel supply system, will be delivered for installation in January 2019.
