Yanmar has developed a new marine activity called the Wheeebo Users of the circular board lean in the desired direction of travel and onboard sensors detect the change in weight distribution and engage the boards motor to propel the board across the water.

An exciting dining and recreational space has opened on the site of the Yanmar Offices in Tokyo. With the Yanmar offices that previously occupied the central Tokyo location leveled and slated for reconstruction, THE FARM TOKYO which features a beer garden and bakery café is scheduled to run on the site from April 5th, 2019 to October 31st adding a splash of greenery to the prime location.
Following successful test operations of Yanmar’s MakinaGetir construction equipment sharing platform in Turkey’s Izmir region in 2018, the company will expand service delivery towards full-scale deployment of an integrated platform throughout Turkey in FY2019.
The Eschenfelder KKU Group has joined the Yanmar Group effective 1st April 2019. Yanmar will exhibit its all-new gas-powered and diesel-powered industrial engines at BAUMA 2019, over April 8th to 14th. Yanmar will for the first time show its 4TN88G and 4TN98G gas-powered engines, and will be showing its latest entries into the high-power diesel range, up to 155 kW, with the 4TN101 and 4TN107. The workhorse L series of industrial diesel engines will also be shown.
Yanmar has announced plans to establish a manufacturing plant in Chennai, India to produce industrial diesel engines. Yanmar Engine Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd. will operate the plant from its expected commencement in 2020.
Yanmar has developed a diesel-powered high seedling density rice transplanter that utilizes the Group’s proprietary autonomous driving technology for straight-line planting and autonomous operation. The technology is expected to simplify rice seedling planting operations and reduce operator fatigue. The YR8D, A, auto-rice transplanter will go on sale from February 1st, 2019 in Japan.

Production has now begun at its new factory in Olathe, Kansas, a 515,000 square feet facility featuring the most advanced technology for the manufacturing of generator sets for the North American market.

Rice gelée is a new food made from rice and water and is superb for improving the texture of foods, emulsification, as a thickener, stabilizer and gelling agent in breads and confectionery, hamburgers and noodles or for soups and sauces.
Yanmar has obtained an order for two 6EY26DF dual fuel engines as the main propulsion engines for a bunker tanker being built by Keppel Offshore & Marine. The vesssel will be Singapore’s first dual-fuel powered bunker tanker running on LNG and marine gas oil. The engines, as well as the liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel supply system, will be delivered for installation in January 2019.
Yanmar has delivered two 6EY26DF dual-fuel commercial marine engines with the ability to use both heavy fuel oil (HFO) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel for tugboat. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) will take delivery of the vessels once construction is completed in February 2019 with the tugboat expected to commence operation in April 2019.
