Blueair air purifiers rank best in meeting performance claims in tests by China’s official AQSIQ product inspection and certification agency

Stockholm, Sweden, October 28, 2016 – Blueair has won the plaudits of the official Chinese product inspection and certification agency, AQSIQ, which has ranked Blueair room purifiers best in class at living up to the company's performance claims that its filtration technologies efficiently and quietly clean indoor air of airborne pollutants.

AQSIQ, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, put over 60 leading domestic and foreign air purifier brands through exhaustive testing to check the accuracy of performance claims – and Blueair models emerged best for their clean air delivery rate and quietness when removing the likes of hazardous PM2.5 particles.

“Blueair has yet again won important recognition for the way it delivers on its promise to help people take control of the air they breathe by delivering air purifiers that live up to our claims,” said Kris Shao, Blueair China’s head of marketing. She added that with hundreds of different air purifier brands being sold in China, it is important that consumers are given the accurate information that allows them to make an informed choice.

AQSIQ has implemented a national testing program for air purifiers sold in China. The program is designed to separate truth from fiction in claims made by manufacturers.

The latest findings by AQSIQ come at the time of the year when air pollution in China starts to worsen as the winter months draw in. The tests revealed that Blueair excelled at meeting China’s tough new national NGB standard for removal of PM2.5 particles, formaldehyde and other serious airborne pollutants, while also keeping emission noise levels to a minimum.

“Since launching Blueair in China in 2006, we have ceaselessly stressed the need to give consumers accurate information about the clean air delivery rate (CADR) of individual purifiers, how to choose the right air purifier for the right room and detailing correct energy consumption figures. Ranking a leading brand in AQSIQ’s stringent tests is a huge endorsement of Blueair's commitment to giving our customers complete performance transparency,” said Ms. Shao.
