Blueair to showcase full range of advanced air purifying technologies and products at 2016 Chicago International Home + Housewares Show

Chicago, Illinois, February 29 – Bluear's fully-connected, Cloud-based ‘home and workplace air defense system' will be center stage leading exhibits on the company's stand in Lakeside Center Booth 11915 (Lakeside Center) at this year's International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago, March 5 – 8. As awareness grows of the dangers to health and wellness posed by polluted indoor air quality, Blueair's expertise and knowledge enables the company to deliver a comprehensive range of flexible mobile indoor air purifying and air quality warning devices for any home and workplace environment.

Herman Pihlträd, President of Chicago-based Blueair Inc, said: "There is no doubt this is the right time to be involved in the indoor air purifying sector. As research-based evidence grows of how exposure to accumulated cradle-to-grave air pollution significantly shortens life expectancy and degrades quality of life, Blueair has the vision, knowledge and expertise to help people take their health and wellbeing into their own hands."

Highlights on the Blueair booth will be the smartest connected solution currently available to consumers who want to monitor, control and purify their indoor air. The Blueair ‘home and work air defense system' is capable of detecting and combating airborne germ, chemical and particle attacks.

"Blueair harnesses the Cloud to connect the WiFi-enabled Sense+ air purifier, Aware air sensor and Blueair Friend air monitoring app to create possibly the best indoor air purification solution for an IoT world," Mr. Pihlträd noted.Blueair's out-of-the-box approach won three top Envisioneering Innovation Awards at the 2016 CES trade show in Las Vegas in January.

At IHHS, Blueair will also stage the trade launch of its New Classic range, which boasts an updated design and color scheme, enhanced features such as a new user interface and improved filtration efficiency. In addition, the company will show the exciting Blue by Blueair air purifier range that is geared to appeal to a new generation of active, health and sports focused consumers.

Blue has earned a GOOD DESIGN Award by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies in recognition of its contemporary Swedish-engineered design and style.

A series of recently published landmark research studies from organizations such as the WHO Global Burden of Disease have pointed to the insidious effects of persistent air pollution exposure. WHO said 5.5 million deaths are caused globally by polluted air. And, in mid-February 2016, two top UK medical institutions said indoor pollutants sparked by the use of household cleaning products, fly sprays and air fresheners can cause health damage across a lifetime with links to cancer, asthma, stroke and heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and dementia.

"We are delighted to be presenting a live view of our expertise and award-winning air purifying products at IHHS for the fourth year in succession. Blueair will be showcasing an exciting current product lineup as well as present our latest innovations," said Mr. Pihlträd.
