Minskar drivmedlens klimatpåverkan?

Novus har för andra gången på uppdrag av Gröna Bilister och St1 kartlagt svenskarnas inställning till klimat- och ursprungsmärkning av drivmedel. Många tycker att detta är en viktig fråga. I matbutiken kan vi se var torsken är fångad och var kaffet är producerat, men vid tankstationen är det sämre ställt med konsumentinformation om var ifrån bränslet kommer.
Vi kan läsa på fiskpaketet i frysdisken var torsken är fångad. Vi kan välja kravmärkt kaffe och jämföra sockerinnehållet i olika sorters müsli. Men när det gäller drivmedel är det sämre ställt med konsumentinformationen. Drivmedelsbolaget St1 tar nu det första steget för att ändra på detta.
Regeringen vill höja energiskatten på fossil bensin och diesel med 44 respektive 48 öre per liter exklusive moms från den 1/1/2016. Nödvändig, men regeringen vill också höja skatten på biodrivmedel i motsvarande mån. Då uteblir styrningen från fossilt till förnybart. Vad vi behöver är styrmedel som endast utgår från drivmedlets klimatpåverkan.
Energimyndighetens statistik visar att andelen olja från Ryssland och Nigeria i svenska drivmedel ökat drastiskt mellan åren 2011 och 2013. Oljeutvinningen i dessa länder leder till stor miljöförstöring. Gröna Bilister kommer nu att fråga Sveriges riksdagsledamöter om deras inställning till en obligatorisk klimat- och ursprungsmärkning av drivmedel.
