Internet Marketing Conference (IMC) will be held at Stockholm's Nalen venue on May 26-28, 2009. The first day will be dedicated to the topic of affiliate marketing (held mainly in Swedish); the second day is the main conference day (held entirely in English); and the third and final day is full of workshops (held in both Swedish and English). This is the fifth consecutive year IMC is being held in the capital of Sweden.

This year's program features Maria Ziv and Tommy Sollén from VisitSweden, which was named Sweden's Best Website 2008 by Internetworld magazine. The conference's keynote speaker is Mitch Joel, who has helped companies such as Starbucks, Wal-Mart, Sears, and Visa with their online marketing strategies.

Also speaking are Chris Goward (an expert in web optimization), Gary R. Beal (an international expert in search engine marketing), and many others. For the full program, visit www.internetmarketingconference.com/stockholm.

When IMC was last held in Stockholm, in November 2008, the conference welcomed a record number of participants despite the recession. Companies and the industry recognize that measurable online advertising is on the rise, with less focus being given to less effective, more expensive channels.

Previously held in the latter half of the year, IMC has been moved to the spring due to the international nature of the conference. "Moving the conference to May, when spring has arrived, will attract more people from overseas, people who want to combine work with a short holiday," says Lars Johansson, Program Director for IMC Stockholm.

Previous conferences in Stockholm have attracted participants from up to 20 different countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.

Gold sponsors for the event are WebTrends, Tealeaf, and IIH Copenhagen.
