The article asked the same question to a variety of CEOs’ “How do you foster a positive and productive workplace, particularly when different generations view the role of the workplace in their lives differently?”

Vance Aloupis, CEO of The Children’s Movement of Florida states that a primary way of generating positivity through a hugely diverse workforce relies on the fact that positivity influences productivity, naturally. Despite the fact that generations view a workplace from different places, with differing opinions their role of progress is often seen similarly; understanding that a conducive and productive workforce comes from trust, respect and ultimately support.

Michael A. Comras, president, The Comras Company of Florida explores the concept of an open atmosphere, a company culture that drives collaboration across an entire workforce. The act of which produces an ability to work proactively, with individuals of all experience; generating new and exciting ideas.

Jeff Gouveia, president, general manager, SE region, Suffolk discusses the importance of an awareness that individuals from differing generations have alternative priorities, approaching their careers differently. It is essential to encourage collaboration amongst generations, suggesting that older generations often have the knowledge base while those from the millennial age group usually possess the technical skills needed to produce exciting combinations.

Raymond Mobayed, owner, 4IT Inc. details that knowing the goals and aspirations of each individual is essential, despite its difficulty. Knowing this will help to shape and personalize the working day, producing a happy and driven team that breeds productivity.

Ninjja Global are strong advocates of creating a diverse workforce, with varying genders, generations and backgrounds. The company is eager to diversify their workforce as much as possible, seeing the benefits that come along with this. Ninjja Global understands that knowledge, developing ideas and a hugely productive workforce are only some of the positive attributes that come with ensuring a diverse group of contractors possesses, and as such are urging other companies to follow this example.
