ARCHIE AND THE BUNKERS: Cleveland Rock’n’Roll Organ-Wielders Announce European Tour
ARCHIE & THE BUNKERS consists of brothers Emmett (drums/vocals) and Cullen O’Connor (organ/vocals) who have been pounding out their stripped-down brand of crazed ROCK N' ROLL since 2013. Their live shows have to be seen to believed. Anyone who has seen them live or is familiar with their previous releases on Dirty Water, know these guys are the real deal and they aren't messing around.
On stage, the siblings attack their songs with an energy that whips the audience into a frenzy. The unique growl of Cullen’s whirring, overdriven organ and the driving beat of Emmett’s 4-piece drum kit, leave concert-goers in shock at the sonic assault levied by only two.
Things have progressed quickly for Archie and The Bunkers. When you consider what Emmett and Cullen O’Connor have accomplished since putting the organ-driven, garage-punk duo together in 2013, it’s hard to argue otherwise. The band has toured Europe twice and rubbed shoulders with big names such as Iggy Pop, The Damned and Echo & the Bunnymen at festivals.
The siblings grew up in an artistic household. Their dad, Marty, is a painter who also played drums in local punk acts (most notably the Aggravators) and had a jazz-fusion band in high school. Their mom, Jen, was a professional ballerina who now teaches dance.
Nineteen-year-old Emmett started playing drums at age 5, while Cullen picked up the bass at age 7 or 8, and later taught himself to play organ. Although the brothers listened to all types of music, hearing punk rock at age 13 changed Emmett’s life. “All the raw rock ‘n’ roll stuff clicked,” he says.
Both members of Archie and the Bunkers are voracious music fans.

The Dirty Water Club started in October 1996 in the Tufnell Park neighbourhood of north London, at a venue called The Boston. The club's name is derived from The Standells' 1966 hit 'Dirty Water' which glorifies the US city of Boston, Massachusetts.
Past performers have included The White Stripes (voted by Q Magazine as one of the top 10 gigs of all time, Mojo one of the top 30 and Kerrang one of the top 100!), The Gories, Country Teasers, Black Lips, NOBUNNY, Kid Congo Powers, The Fleshtones, Billy Childish, Radio Birdman, The Dirtbombs, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, The 5.6.7.8's, The Horrors and The Brian Jonestown Massacre to name just a few. The club has also seen some original '60s performers, such as The Monks, ? and the Mysterians, Kim Fowley, Sky Saxon, GONN, Michael Davis of the MC5 and more grace its stage.
Their in-house record label, Dirty Water Records, is one of the leading garage/beat/(real) R&B labels in the world.
