ADS-TEC Energy at Power2Drive: End-to-End Expertise for Future-Proof Energy Systems

  • Integrated solutions combining battery-buffered ultra-fast charging and stationary battery storage
  • Tailored energy concepts for businesses, utilities and operators of critical infrastructure
  • 23–25 June 2026 | Messe München | Hall B6 | Booth B6.210

Munich/Nürtingen, Germany, 23 June 2026 – Electricity is evolving from a utility into a strategic competitive asset. Businesses are generating, managing and using energy far more flexibly than just a few years ago. At Power2Drive Europe 2026, ADS-TEC Energy PLC (NASDAQ: ADSE) demonstrates how battery storage, ultra-fast charging and intelligent energy management can be combined into economically optimized energy systems.

Energy infrastructure projects are becoming increasingly complex and highly individual. Companies are electrifying their fleets, reducing peak loads, increasing flexibility in electricity procurement, maximizing the use of self-generated solar power and creating additional revenue streams through participation in energy markets. In many cases, several of these requirements need to be addressed simultaneously at a single site.

"Customers are no longer looking for standard products. They want to make the smartest possible use of their energy while remaining operationally flexible under changing market conditions over the long term," says Thomas Speidel, CEO of ADS-TEC Energy. "Our experience shows that the overall system is what matters. The key question is not which individual component to choose, but who can support customers throughout the entire lifecycle, keep systems running as regulations evolve, master the software, provide long-term service and maximize the value of every installation. Only then does an investment deliver sustainable returns."

Different applications require different technologies. With ChargeBox, ADS-TEC Energy enables ultra-fast charging on power-limited grid. Its integrated battery storage acts as a grid connection upgrade, delivering charging power of up to 320 kW without requiring costly grid reinforcement. Thanks to its modular design, the charging points can be installed independently from the battery system, enabling highly flexible site layouts with a very small footprint.

For publicly accessible locations such as retail sites, fuel stations and commercial premises, ADS-TEC Energy offers ChargePost with integrated bidirectional battery storage. In addition to battery-buffered ultra-fast charging, the system creates further economic value through intelligent energy use, energy trading and optional Digital Out-of-Home advertising.

While ChargeBox and ChargePost integrate battery storage directly into charging infrastructure, stationary battery systems address larger energy challenges at commercial sites and within the power grid. Depending on the application and available grid connection, ADS-TEC Energy recommends different storage solutions. BESS760, a scalable 760 kWh battery system, is designed for commercial and industrial customers looking to reduce peak demand, optimize self-consumption of solar power and unlock the economic value of energy flexibility. BESS5000, offering 5 MWh of storage capacity and scalable into the gigawatt range, has been developed for utilities, municipal utilities and large-scale storage projects, enabling applications such as energy arbitrage, flexibility markets, and grid services.

Ultimately, battery size alone is not the decisive factor. Intelligent system integration is key. Every project requires a different combination of technologies depending on grid connection, load profile and business objectives. Increasingly, customers combine multiple applications such as peak shaving, self-consumption optimization, energy trading and ultra-fast charging. These multi-use concepts are becoming a key driver of project economics.

With more than 3,700 charging points delivered and over 120,000 battery modules installed, ADS-TEC Energy brings extensive project experience across commercial, industrial, and utility applications. Hardware development, manufacturing, power electronics, software and cybersecurity are all developed in-house in Germany, providing the foundation for reliable long-term operation.

"Operational flexibility and energy independence are becoming decisive competitive advantages," says Speidel. "Businesses need to make the best possible use of their energy. That is why ultra-fast charging, battery storage, and intelligent energy management are increasingly converging into integrated energy systems. As these systems often form part of critical infrastructure, data sovereignty and cybersecurity are fundamental design principles for us."
