Press release —
Arctic Bath included in LA LISTE Hotels 2026 and receives Discovery Gem Hotel Award
Arctic Bath has been included in LA LISTE Hotels 2026 as part of the Top 1,000 World's Best Hotels, while also being recognised with the Discovery Gem Hotel Award 2026.
This latest recognition reflects a growing international appreciation for hospitality experiences rooted in nature, shaped by location and guided by a quieter, more thoughtful approach to travel.
Published annually, LA LISTE Hotels brings together hundreds of recognised international sources, including professional travel guides, specialist publications, newspapers of record and traveller reviews, to identify the world's most highly regarded hotels. The 2026 selection evaluates more than 7,300 hotels across more than 200 countries and territories through LA LISTE's unique methodology.
Alongside the global hotel selection, the LA LISTE Hotels Special Awards recognise hotel openings, pioneering hospitality concepts in terms of service, design or sustainability, as well as undiscovered hotel gems. Arctic Bath is one of five hotels worldwide to receive the Discovery Gem Hotel Award 2026, presented to "little-known and hard-to-find hotels that are worth a special trip”.
In recognising Arctic Bath, LA LISTE highlights the hotel's inspiration from Swedish Lapland's timber-floating heritage and its unique setting on the Lule River, where the circular hotel floats during summer and becomes part of the frozen landscape in winter, bringing guests into direct dialogue with the Arctic environment.
Arctic Bath's inclusion in LA LISTE Hotels 2026 comes at a time when the hotel is receiving growing international recognition. Following the award of its first MICHELIN Key in 2025, Arctic Bath has also been included in the Falstaff Restaurant Guide and received 98 out of 100 points in the inaugural Falstaff Hotel Guide Nordics 2026.
While each recognition reflects different perspectives and evaluation methods, together they acknowledge a vision that has remained unchanged since Arctic Bath first opened its doors: creating meaningful hospitality experiences deeply connected to nature, local culture and the people and traditions that continue to shape the experience.
For Arctic Bath, this recognition serves as an encouragement to continue creating hospitality experiences deeply rooted in nature, place and genuine care.
