Axkid UP achieves top results in ADAC 2025 child car seat test
Axkid proudly announces that its latest forward-facing child car seat, Axkid UP, has achieved top results in the 2025 ADAC child car seat test, earning an overall rating of “Good” (2.0). The seat demonstrated outstanding performance across all key categories—safety, ergonomics, handling, and chemical testing—underlining Axkid’s continued leadership in child safety innovation.
ADAC,Europe’s leading independent test institute for child car seats, evaluates dozens of models each year under rigorous conditions. In the autumn 2025 test, Axkid UP achieved top results across all categories, securing a leading position among all tested forward-facing seats. Its strong performance would also have placed it among the top results of the spring 2025 test, confirming that Axkid UP is one of the safest forward-facing child car seats on the market.

Axkid UP achieved consistently strong scores across all categories:
Safety: 1.9
Handling/Service: 2.2
Ergonomics 1.8
Harmful Substances: 1.0
Environmentally Harmful Substances: 1.0
Total ADAC Score: 2.0 (“Good”)
“We are very pleased with Axkid UP’s strong result in this year’s ADAC test,” says Anton Wall, Vice President at Axkid. “The 2025 test included stricter protocols and tougher crash scenarios, so achieving a ‘Good’ rating is an important recognition of our development work — especially as only 5 out of 17 tested seats reached that level.”
Why this result stands out
The 2025 ADAC testing protocols introduced more demanding conditions than ever before, including new crash scenarios, side-impact simulations, and expanded chemical analyses. Despite these tougher standards, Axkid UP achieved one of the best safety scores among all tested seats, proving its exceptional real-life protection, intuitive usability, and strong environmental safety profile.
Designed for real-life safety
Axkid’s design philosophy goes beyond performing well in controlled laboratory tests. Every Axkid seat is developed with the company’s core principle in mind — real-life safety. This means designing products that provide the best possible protection in unpredictable, real-world situations on the road.
“While we are proud of Axkid UP’s strong performance in ADAC’s demanding test, the seat was developed with one goal above all – to protect children in real-life situations that can’t be fully replicated in a crash-test lab,” says Anton Wall, Vice President at Axkid. “In a real vehicle, Axkid UP works seamlessly with the car’s built-in safety features, ensuring the seatbelt, airbags, and other systems can perform at their best. Axkid Up is not only a top performer in independent testing — it’s engineered for real-world protection when it matters most.”
