Following a strong inflow of new paying users during the year, BookBeat's revenue increased to EUR 146 million (SEK 1.54 billion). This represents growth of 13 percent; adjusted for currency effects, growth amounted to 15 percent. Profitability improved significantly, and by the end of the year nearly 1.2 million users were paying for the service across all markets.
The annual rankings of the most-listened titles in BookBeat’s markets during 2025 are now ready. This year’s most-listened book across all BookBeat markets was the German translation of the international hit Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros.
During her visit to the Gothenburg Bookfair, author Julia Quinn will be awarded the international honorary prize “BookBeat Outstanding Author Award”, a newly established, data-driven prize presented by BookBeat to authors whose works have made an exceptional impact among the service’s 1.1 million listeners and readers in Sweden and internationally.
