AMAC Aerospace Turkey: 10-Year Inspection on Boeing B737-800
AMAC Aerospace Turkey welcomed a Boeing B737-800 to the hangar in Bodrum, Turkey, for a 10-year inspection.
During the inspection, the aft and forward wet areas, galley, lavatories, seats and carpets were removed and reinstalled. Landing gear extension and retraction tests were also performed.
The team repaired cracks in the vapor barrier attach angle and defects on the doubler of the fuselage. They also performed composite repairs on various areas, including the slat, belly fairing, thrust reverser cowl sleeve, flap fairing and slat access panel. Additionally, they rectified corrosion found on the aft wet area beam.
Lastly, they manufactured new cargo floor panels and cargo sidewalls and replaced the side strut on the main landing gear and the cockpit windshield.
