AMAC Aerospace Turkey: Completed 2x C Checks on Dassault Falcon Aircraft

The high demand for C inspections continues at AMAC Aerospace Turkey, Istanbul. At the end of June, 2x projects were redelivered after successfully completing C checks, which are among the heaviest maintenance inputs for the Dassault Falcon 2000 series of aircraft.

The first aircraft to depart was a classic Dassault Falcon 2000. It underwent 1C-2C checks, as well as 12-, 24-, and 36-month inspections, and a 1B check. AMAC Aerospace’s team lubricated the flight control rods, removed and inspected all windshields and window structures, and replaced several faulty parts, including the oil temperature sensor, static discharger, landing gear ball bearings and pressure reducer valves. During the inspections, cracks were found on the slats, and structural repairs were performed in collaboration with AMAC Aerospace Turkey’s Bodrum team. In addition, the landing gear and several flight control components were sent to the shop for overhaul.

The second aircraft was a Dassault Falcon 2000S. It also underwent 1C-2C checks accompanied by 12-, 24-, and 36-month inspections, and B1 and B2 checks. In accordance with the 2C inspection requirements, similar scheduled tasks were performed on landing gears and flight control components as the F2000. AMAC Aerospace’s team found corrosion on the auxiliary power unit (APU), which they repaired. The team also inspected the passenger seats in accordance with the latest EASA airworthiness directive requirements and replaced the very high frequency (VHF) communication transceiver, the emergency locator transmitter (ELT), and the brake control valves. Lastly, after troubleshooting, the copilot windshield was found to have failed due to hot spots on the bus bar connection strip, so it was replaced accordingly.
