AMAC Aerospace Turkey: Continued Support on Dassault Falcon Aircraft
At the end of December, AMAC Aerospace welcomed several Dassault Falcon aircraft for 2-month inspections at the hangar in Istanbul, Turkey. One of the aircraft was a long term customer’s Dassault Falcon 7X. During its stay, the aircraft also received an engine compressor desalination wash in accordance with the corrosion protection program.
Another aircraft was a privately owned Dassault Falcon 2000EX EASy that underwent a 2-month inspection accompanied by an oil level check of the engine's pneumatic starter. During post-flight inspections, AMAC Aerospace’s team found that one of the return filters for the hydraulic system had popped out, so they replaced it. Servicing of the oxygen system was also required and performed accordingly.
Lastly, a long term customers Dassault Falcon 2000 underwent a passenger oxygen controller restoration along with the 2-month inspection. During the check, AMAC Aerospace’s team observed oil leaking from one of the engines. The team performed detailed inspections and troubleshooting to identify the source of the leak. They replaced several components and after, no leakage was observed during the engine run. As a safety precaution, the oil filters on both engines were replaced with new ones. The team also found that the nose cone fan was stuck in a slightly open position. They therefore opened the part manually to clean it and performed rod lubrication to ensure proper operation.
