AMAC Aerospace Turkey: Out-of-Base Maintenance Performed at Customers’ Base Locations

AMAC Aerospace Turkey daily welcomes several Dassault Falcon aircraft to the hangar in Istanbul, but our services are not limited to support at our own facility. Over the past couple of months, several maintenance inputs have also been performed out-of-base at customers’ base locations in places such as Ankara and Istanbul.

In Ankara, two Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy underwent 2-month inspections. One of the aircraft had all of its passenger life vests replaced with fresh, overhauled units and a digital electronic engine control (DEEC) download of the engines was performed. On the second aircraft, the periodic database was updated and the engine condition trend monitoring (ECTM) data was downloaded and shared with the operator. The crew had also reported an interference noise, so AMAC Aerospace’s team conducted troubleshooting and found a faulty amplifier. They replaced the amplifier and the emergency locator transmitter (ELT) with serviceable units.

In Istanbul, the team traveled from the AMAC Aerospace hangar at Atatürk Airport to support a Dassault Falcon 2000EX EASy and a 2000LXS at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, as well as a Dassault Falcon 7X at Istanbul Airport.

The F2000EX EASy had a zero-voltage standby battery after landing, so the team replaced it with a serviceable battery. The F2000LXS underwent a 2-month inspection and oxygen servicing. Additionally, one of the main wheel assemblies was found to be worn down to the limit, so it was replaced with a serviceable spare. The F7X also underwent a 2-month inspection, water system sterilization and periodic checks due to being in storage conditions.

“AMAC Aerospace Turkey’s goTeam knows how important it is to support our customers at their base locations and when they are out of their base, so the goTeam will do their utmost to support as much as possible,” said Remzi Ozturk, Sales & Key Account Director at AMAC Aerospace Istanbul.
