12-Years Inspections on B737 BBJ at AMAC Aerospace Turkey, Bodrum

Milas-Bodrum Airport, 12.09.2025 – AMAC Aerospace Turkey, Bodrum, who uses a mixed business model for their hangar facility and carries out commercial aviation line and base maintenance during the winter months and flip over to VIP business maintenance during the summer months, is pleased to announce that they have successfully completed a 12-year inspection of a Boeing B737 BBJ.

The scope of work included the removal and installation of the cabin, as well as the additional center tank. All cabin parts were handled with special care. They were securely wrapped and stored in a special place to ensure they were in perfect condition and easy to find when being reinstalled on the aircraft and per the requirements of component preservation.

The project was completed within the planned turnaround time (TAT) of 35 days, which is a record speed for a 12-year inspection that usually takes around 42-45 days typically. AMAC Aerospace Bodrum collaborated with GAMIT for procurement. They effectively handled all material requests and component shop visits, which also made the short turnaround time possible. It was the customer's first visit to AMAC Aerospace Bodrum, and they were highly satisfied with the project. They have already decided to bring their next aircraft to AMAC Aerospace Bodrum.

They are also nearing completion of a second 12-year inspection of a B737 BBJ, which is expected to be delivered by the middle or end of September.
