The Wonderful World of Interior Design at AMAC Aerospace

EuroAirport, 17.11.2025 AMAC Aerospace’s Design Studio operates at the intersection of creativity and technology, specializing in Completion as well as Refurbishment and Minor Modifications. The result is bespoke cabin concepts that meet the highest standards of design and engineering.

"Our Design Department focuses on two primary activities: Completion and Refurbishment / Minor Modifications. Each area has its own processes, challenges, and creative goals, but both share a commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality cabin environments that meet the highest standards of design and engineering.” says Christelle Dietsch, Manager Interior Design at AMAC Aerospace Switzerland.

In the field of Completion, AMAC Aerospace transforms “green” aircraft (aircraft without interiors) into unique, fully customized cabin environments. Clients can choose between a completely new design concept developed in-house or a collaboration with external designers. When working with external partners, the AMAC Aerospace design team ensures that every creative vision is technically sound, certifiable and ready for production.

The in-house Design Studio produces detailed 3D renderings, elevation drawings and cross-sectional plans that form the foundation for technical implementation. With the help of AI-assisted visualization tools, design concepts can be shown faster. Furthermore, elevation drawings are created directly within the Design Studio, with the support of the engineering department, which significantly streamlines processes and improves time efficiency.

Refurbishment and Minor Modifications projects often take place during scheduled maintenance, allowing the design team to identify and correct interior defects directly on site. This flexibility enables them to propose immediate solutions without disrupting the maintenance timeline. Another key factor is the use of advanced technologies, such as 3D scanning, to create accurate digital models of aircraft cabins. This enables the team to have a detailed view of the cabin even before the aircraft input, allowing them to work in advance and prepare the project ahead of time.
