New digital platform champagneclub.com

Welcome to our Champagne Club !

Thanks to all my fans. Thank you for waiting so patiently for the Champagne Club to finally become the world-leading independent platform for champagne knowledge and champagne enjoyment that we have been hoping for for over 20 years. We have finally got it together at the level we have always strived for. The gods should know that I often tore my long-non-existent hair when technology and economics played us erratic pranks. Today we have a Dream team with world-class players in every position who with your help are ready to both offer "the champagne world's instagram" in the form of our app, as well as to provide you with all the updated information about the drink of life you can ever ask for.

My database with more than 12,700+ unique tasting notes and scores will be the hub that everything revolves around, but the most important cogs in the wheel are all of you who, by sharing your own champagne experiences around the world, will enrich and steer the champagne world in the right direction towards even higher quality and even more joy and exuberant champagne enjoyment.

We in our team are extremely happy with and proud of how we have now designed Champagne Club, but we do not intend to settle down. Please give us your feedback so that we can shape the Champagne Club according to your wishes, as we strive for the same perfection that characterizes the best champagne producers. It is precisely together with the champagne producers and you champagne lovers that we create the world-leading platform. Let's create magic together!

Richard Juhlin

THE DIGITAL PLATFORM - champagneclub.com

Join Richard Juhlin on a journey to Champagne and through the history of the drink. Richard Juhlin addresses basic questions and also celebrates the opulence of his craft, including why the setting where you drink champagne matters and how to develop a finely tuned sense of smell. He also catalogues and ranks champagne producers, grape varieties, and vintages, crafting a list that will inform champagne novices and experts alike.

In addition to gorgeous photography and design, the digital platform echoes Richard’s unique voice - authoritative, passionate, and as effervescent as his favourite wine. While the site covers the basics for a beginner enthusiast (how to read a label, visiting Champagne, the proper serving and glassware set-up), the advanced connoisseurs will enjoy going through exhaustive lists compiled by Richard, whose preternatural tasting abilities allowed him to taste more top-tier champagne than just about anyone else in the world - from the 1800s until today.

In 2013 Juhlin was awarded the Légion d’honneur. His additional awards include the Chevalier d’Arc in 1997 and the Mérite agricole from the French Ministry of Agriculture in 2002, and in 2003 at the annual Spectacle du Monde tasting in Paris he correctly identified 43 out of 50 champagnes. ’By listing more than 10,000 tasting notes of Champagne, Mr. Richard Juhlin has established himself as one of the best connoisseurs of Champagne in the world and one of the most influential promoters of this French know-how (savoir-faire). His outstanding work, carried out with determination for more than 20 years, has contributed significantly to the spread of Champagne in Sweden & the world, but also to the promotion of the Champagne-Ardenne region here. In appointing Richard Juhlin Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, the French authorities wanted to pay tribute to his work of passion and promotion of Champagne’

by the French President François Hollande

‘The Mozart and Beethoven of wine today may be Robert Parker and Richard Juhlin. Robert Parker received the highest distinction in France, the Legion of Honor in 1999 from President Chirac. Richard Juhlin received the Legion of Honor from President François Hollande in 2013. As the Emperor of Austria might have said, Beethoven (and Parker) might make more noise, and Mozart (and Juhlin) may have too many notes, but both are beautiful for everyone and changed music (and wine) forever.'
