Anthonore Christensen left the arranged roses behind to paint flowers and plants where they truly grow. Moving beyond the polished bouquets of her time, she captured wildflowers, forest floors, and plants in their natural landscapes. As she said in 1919: “It was not enough for me to bring the flowers into the living room and paint them in a jar or in a glass, as the times demanded. I wanted to bring in the little bit of nature on which they grew”. This work is a fine example of her naturalistic approach and part of our current themed auction, Fantastic Women. 🔗 Explore the details via the link in our bio.

Last chance to explore our themed auction, Fantastic Women – dedicated to the works of women who have left a significant mark on the history of art and design in Denmark. One of the highlights of the auction is the porcelain works by Effie Hegermann-Lindencrone. Together with her collaborator Fanny Garde, she created more than 2,000 unique porcelain pieces inspired by nature – from seaweed and fish to water plants and flowers. With their innovative visual language, technical skill, and poetic sensibility, Hegermann-Lindencrone and Fanny Garde elevated ceramic art to new heights and became important pioneers for future generations of artists. 🔗 Explore the selection via the link in our bio.

Sometimes, bidding wars take an unexpected turn. An Anna Ancher painting, estimated at DKK 100,000-150,000, ended with an impressive – and very surprising – hammer price at this week's Live Auction. The artwork depicts a young woman seen from behind in a long white summer dress at the gate leading into the Ancher family's garden. A small, fine work where we see many of the qualities that make Anna Ancher one of the most original colorists around 1900 and a key figure in the transition to modernism. #annaancher #danishart #biddingwar

Nanna Ditzel was one of the few women to break through at a time when men dominated the design world. She created designs that were both functional and sculptural, and her design philosophy clearly stated that the way we sit and interact with furniture could pave the way for a freer and more imaginative life. At our current themed auction, Fantastic Women, you'll find the beautiful cradle "Lulu", which was named after Ditzel's daughter. 🔗 Explore the details via the link in our bio.

A rare chapter in Rolex history will go under the hammer at tomorrow's Live Auction. In the 1970s, Rolex experimented with hardstone dials, including Tiger Eye – a natural quartz with striking brown and golden bands. Because the stone was difficult to cut without fractures, production numbers were extremely limited. This 1978 Datejust ref. 16018 in 18k yellow gold captures that bold era perfectly. Without numerals or hour markers, the dial lets the unique Tiger Eye pattern take center stage. Today, watches like this are among the most sought-after Rolex stone dials for collectors worldwide. 🔗 Tap the link in our bio explore the details. LIVE AUCTION: 12 March from 7 pm

Only three examples of this remarkable “Yin & Yang” coffee table by Mogens Koch are known worldwide. Designed in 1952 and crafted in the 1950s by master cabinetmaker N.C. Jensen Kjær, the two-part composition explores balance through its interlocking forms in Cuban mahogany and Brazilian rosewood. The other two examples are held by Designmuseum Danmark in Copenhagen and Trapholt Museum in Kolding. This table, now up for Live Auction on 11 March, comes from the Koch family. 🔗 Explore the details via the link in our bio. #mogenskoch #danishdesign #raredesign
