  • Minimum wages rise across Europe as inflation eases

    A new Eurofound report, Minimum wages in 2026: Annual review, finds that national minimum wages continued to rise across Europe in 2026, with the largest increases again recorded in central and eastern Europe. Minimum wage earners also gained purchasing power in virtually all Member States in 2026, as lower inflation in January 2026 more than offset increases in nominal minimum wages.

The Directive seeks to establish a framework to improve the adequacy of minimum wages and to increase the access of workers to minimum wage protection.

  • National legislation struggling to adapt to the rise of cyberbullying at work in Europe

    Workplace cyberbullying or ‘digital harassment’ is only explicitly covered in regulatory frameworks in Denmark in the EU, with other Member States either attempting to extend legal definitions to include misconduct occurring through information and communication technologies (ICTs) or outside of the physical workplace; or lacking any definition of workplace bullying or harassment in law.
