Following the sale of GlobalConnects B2C business in Germany, NordConnect will assume responsibility for the FFTH network. The agreement ensures the continued provision of services to residential customers in the Hamburg and Kiel regions. Going forward, GlobalConnect will focus exclusively on business customers and carriers in Germany.

Zornitsa Radkova-Lund joins GlobalConnect as new Group CFO from June 1, 2026. She succeeds Lasse Pilgaard, who will take over as Group CEO on September 1, when Martin Lippert steps down after 13 years in the role. Based primarily out of GlobalConnect’s office in Fornebu, Norway, Zornitsa will lead the Group’s finance organisation.

1st of September, GlobalConnect will complete a long-planned transition in the role of Group CEO, as current Group CFO Lasse Pilgaard succeeds Martin Lippert, who is stepping down at his own request. Lasse Pilgaard will lead the next phase of growth for the Nordic fiber group, which reported revenue of SEK 8 billion in 2025 and employs 1,800 people.
