This issue of ‘red nose’ is an anniversary edition. The bilingual PDF magazine (English, German) is the organ of the international clowning group within the Section for Performing Art at the Goetheanum.
The new issue of ‘red nose’ #9 shows why laughter is the best medicine, what part clowning plays in this through all ages of people. And why it is more about the universality of being human than about personal or cultural differences in humour.
We need laughter, we need self-distance in order to develop. Since if we think we are doing everything right, there will be no development. And nothing to laugh about. Or even more so?
Clowns as developing human beings have moved into the Goetheanum. This sum-mer the two clowns Vanilli und Topolino will offer a course for adults in June and activities for the entire family in August.
A working group for clowns has been founded within the Section for the Performing Arts at the Goetheanum. In the first issue of a new magazine called ‘red nose’ 24 clowns introduce themselves.
