Aroundtown verbessert Ergebnisse in führenden ESG-Ratings und erhält mehrere Leader-Auszeichnungen

Auszeichnungen durch Sustainalytics, Aufnahme in das S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook und verbessertes ISS ESG Corporate Rating bestätigen Entwicklung

Aroundtown hat seine ESG-Performance (Environmental, Social, Governance) im Jahr 2025/2026 deutlich verbessert und wird dafür von drei renommierten internationalen ESG-Benchmarks ausgezeichnet: S&P Global, ISS ESG sowie Sustainalytics. Die Ergebnisse bestätigen die konsequente Umsetzung der Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie und die Fortschritte in zentralen ESG-Bereichen.

Aroundtown wurde 2026 bereits zum zweiten Mal in Folge in das S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026 aufgenommen. Von mehr als 9.200 bewerteten Unternehmen weltweit konnten sich lediglich 848 Unternehmen für die Aufnahme qualifizieren, was die strengen Auswahlkriterien dieser Auszeichnung belegt. Im S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) verbesserte sich Aroundtown im Jahr 2025 auf 68 Punkte (+4 Punkte im Vergleich zum Vorjahr). Treiber dieser Entwicklung waren insbesondere eine verbesserte Transparenz und Struktur der Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung im Zuge der CSRD-Anforderungen, die Weiterentwickelung von Governance- und Compliance-Guidelines sowie Initiativen im Wassermanagement, wie der Einsatz intelligenter Wasserzähler in Deutschland und den Niederlanden.

Zusätzlich wurde Aroundtown bereits zum dritten Mal in Folge in den S&P Dow Jones Best-in-Class Index Europe aufgenommen, der die nachhaltigsten 20 % der Unternehmen in Europa umfasst.

Auch die ESG-Ratingagentur ISS ESG bestätigt die positive Entwicklung: Aroundtown verbesserte sich von C auf C+ bei einem Performance Score von 60,44 (+6 Punkte) und festigte damit seinen Prime-Status. Diese Bewertung spiegelt Fortschritte unter anderem in den Bereichen Klimaschutz und Energiemanagement, der Integration von ESG-Kriterien in die Unternehmensführung sowie in der Gesundheit und Sicherheit von Mietern und Mitarbeitenden wider.

Eine weitere bedeutende Anerkennung ist die Auszeichnung durch Morningstar Sustainalytics: Aroundtown erhielt die Global ESG Leader, Regional ESG Leader sowie Industry ESG Leader Badges 2026. Diese Auszeichnungen erhalten nur Unternehmen, deren ESG Risk Score zu den besten 10 % der Unternehmen weltweit, regional und in der Branche zählt. Mit einem ESG Risk Score von 8,7 wird Aroundtown in die Kategorie „Negligible ESG Risk“ eingestuft und zählt damit zu den Top 2 % aller bewerteten Unternehmen weltweit sowie zu den besten 4 % Prozent der globalen Immobilienbranche. Zusätzlich wurde das Unternehmen mit dem Regional ESG Top Rated Badge 2025 ausgezeichnet, was die Kontinuität der ESG-Leistung unterstreicht.

Die Verbesserungen im Sustainalytics-Rating basieren unter anderem auf der starken Integration von ESG-Kriterien in Investitionsentscheidungen, dem Ausbau grüner Gebäudezertifizierungen (bspw. durch BREEAM), effektiven Maßnahmen im Klimarisikomanagement sowie einer erhöhten Transparenz in der Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung. Auch Fortschritte im Bereich Mitarbeiterentwicklung und Mieterzufriedenheit haben zur positiven Bewertung beigetragen.

Aroundtown Improves Results in Leading ESG Ratings and Receives Multiple Leader Awards

Awards from Sustainalytics, inclusion in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, and an improved ISS ESG Corporate Rating confirm progress

Aroundtown significantly improved its ESG performance (Environmental, Social, Governance) in 2025/2026 and has been recognized by three renowned international ESG benchmarks: S&P Global, ISS ESG, and Sustainalytics. The results confirm the consistent implementation of its sustainability strategy and progress in key ESG areas.

In 2026, Aroundtown was included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook for the second consecutive year. Out of more than 9,200 companies assessed worldwide, only 848 qualified for inclusion, highlighting the stringent selection criteria of this recognition. In the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), Aroundtown improved its score to 68 points in 2025 (+4 points compared to the previous year). This development was driven in particular by enhanced transparency and structure in sustainability reporting in line with CSRD requirements, the further development of governance and compliance guidelines, and initiatives in water management, such as the use of smart water meters in Germany and the Netherlands.

In addition, Aroundtown has already been included for the third consecutive year in the S&P Dow Jones Best-in-Class Index Europe, which comprises the top 20% most sustainable companies in Europe.

The ESG rating agency ISS ESG also confirms the positive development: Aroundtown improved from C to C+ with a performance score of 60.44 (+6 points), thereby strengthening its Prime status. This rating reflects progress in areas including climate protection and energy management, the integration of ESG criteria into corporate governance, and the health and safety of tenants and employees.

Another significant recognition comes from Morningstar Sustainalytics: Aroundtown received the Global ESG Leader, Regional ESG Leader, and Industry ESG Leader badges for 2026. These distinctions are awarded only to companies whose ESG Risk Score ranks among the top 10% globally, regionally, and within their industry. With an ESG Risk Score of 8.7, Aroundtown is classified in the “Negligible ESG Risk” category, placing it among the top 2% of all rated companies worldwide and within the top 4% of the global real estate sector. In addition, the company received the Regional ESG Top Rated Badge 2025, underscoring the consistency of its ESG performance.

The improvements in the Sustainalytics rating are based, among other things, on the strong integration of ESG criteria into investment decisions, the expansion of green building certifications (e.g., through BREEAM), effective measures in climate risk management, and increased transparency in sustainability reporting. Progress in employee development and tenant satisfaction also contributed to the positive assessment.
