Cardo Brussels Hotel von Aroundtown erhält BREEAM-Zertifizierung „Sehr gut“

Die markante Hotelimmobilie im Zentrum Brüssels vereint energieeffiziente Infrastruktur und hohen Aufenthaltskomfort

Modernisierte technische Infrastruktur und Maßnahmen zur Ressourceneffizienz sichern dem Cardo Brussels, ein Hotel aus dem Aroundtown-Portfolio, die BREEAM-Erstzertifizierung „Sehr gut“. BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) ist ein international anerkanntes Zertifizierungssystem zur Bewertung der Nachhaltigkeit und Umweltleistung von Gebäuden. Im Rahmen der Modernisierung wurden unter anderem Heizungs-, Lüftungs-, Warmwasser- und Kühlsysteme erneuert und durch energieeffiziente Anlagen ersetzt. Das Gebäude ist vollständig mit LED-Beleuchtung ausgestattet. Zusätzlich wurden Smart-Water-Metering- und Monitoring-Systeme für wasserintensive Installationen implementiert. Im Bereich Barrierefreiheit erreichte das Gebäude die höchste BREEAM-Bewertung. Das Hotel verfügt über stufenfreie Zugänge, rollstuhlgerechte Bereiche, angepasste Verkehrsflächen sowie barrierefreie vertikale Erschließung und Einrichtungen.

Das Cardo Brussels Hotel befindet sich im Zentrum der belgischen Hauptstadt Brüssel. Die Fassade des Gebäudes basiert auf René Magrittes Gemälde „Le fils de l’homme“. Das Hotel umfasst 30 Etagen und mehr als 500 Zimmer, darunter 46 Suiten. Ergänzt wird das Angebot durch 15 Konferenz- und Veranstaltungsräume, einen Rooftop-Pool sowie einen Spa-Bereich. Cardo Brussels Hotel by Aroundtown Receives “Very Good” BREEAM Certification

The landmark hotel property in the center of Brussels combines energy-efficient infrastructure with a high level of guest comfort

Modernized technical infrastructure and resource-efficiency measures have secured the Cardo Brussels Hotel, part of the Aroundtown portfolio, its initial BREEAM certification with a rating of “Very Good.” BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is an internationally recognized certification system for assessing the sustainability and environmental performance of buildings. As part of the modernization program, the hotel’s heating, ventilation, hot water, and cooling systems were renewed and replaced with energy-efficient installations. The entire building has been equipped with LED lighting. In addition, smart water metering and monitoring systems for water-intensive facilities were implemented. In the area of accessibility, the building achieved the highest BREEAM rating. The hotel features step-free access, wheelchair-accessible areas, adapted circulation spaces, as well as accessible vertical transportation and facilities.

The Cardo Brussels Hotel is located in the center of the Belgian capital, Brussels. The building’s façade is inspired by René Magritte’s painting “Le fils de l’homme.” The hotel comprises 30 floors and more than 500 rooms, including 46 suites. Additional amenities include 15 conference and event rooms, a rooftop pool, and a spa area. Its location in the business district, convenient access to the train station, and proximity to Brussels Airport make the hotel attractive for both business and leisure travelers.
