Yara has officially commissioned Europe's largest industrial CO₂ capture plant at its Sluiskil site in the Netherlands. The plant will be able to capture and liquefy up to 800,000 tons of CO₂ per year from ammonia production. The CO₂ will then be transported by ship to Norway and permanently stored under the seabed as part of the Northern Lights project.
