Deutsche ReGas Achieves Largest Gas Feed-In in Germany
With more than ten TWh of feed-in capacity, the Deutsche Ostsee energy terminal achieved the highest feed-in capacity in its history in the second quarter, while also reaching the highest value among all LNG terminals in Germany. Deutsche Regas is thus currently making an important contribution to ensuring that natural gas storage facilities in Germany can be refilled after the cold winter months.
The natural gas is fed into the German gas grid via fixed, freely allocable capacities of 16 GWh/h from the energy terminal. In addition, fixed capacities of 4 GWh/h are available for export to the Czech Republic. Thanks to the connection to this high-performance pipeline infrastructure, the gas volumes fed into Mukran are immediately available for security of supply in Germany and Europe.
"In the past quarter, we have proven the performance of our terminal and, on behalf of our customers, fed more natural gas into the German network than any other LNG import terminal in Germany. This also confirms the reliability and flexibility of our services and sends an excellent signal for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as a business location," said Ingo Wagner, Managing Partner of Deutsche ReGas.
