Energie-Terminal “Deutsche Ostsee” Records Peak Feed-in Performance
At the start of the 2025/2026 heating season, the “Deutsche Ostsee” Energie-Terminal achieved a new record for monthly gas deliveries. In October, a total of 4.1 terawatt hours of natural gas were fed into the German transmission network via the terminal. According to the terminal operator Deutsche ReGas, this amount corresponds to the average monthly consumption of around six million two-person households. This makes the terminal by far the most heavily utilized LNG import facility in Germany during the first month of the heating season.
Ingo Wagner, Managing Partner of Deutsche ReGas, emphasized the terminal’s connection to the largest available transmission capacity in Germany. Given the currently low storage levels, he noted that this level of feed-in performance already makes a significant contribution to the security of supply in Germany and Europe at the very beginning of the heating period.
