EnviTec Biogas Takes Over Uniper Subsidiary LIQVIS

The former Uniper subsidiary now operates under the umbrella of the EnviTec Biogas Group as LIQVIS powered by EnviTec Biogas. LIQVIS was founded in 2015 and operates a total of 18 LNG filling stations in Germany and France at strategic transport hubs with particularly high truck volumes.

“With the acquisition of LIQVIS GmbH, we are extending our value chain to include the operation of our own LNG filling stations. The decision to acquire the company and its team is the logical continuation of our corporate development to date,” explained Olaf von Lehmden, CEO of EnviTec Biogas AG.

EnviTec Biogas AG plans to use LIQVIS' existing LNG filling station infrastructure to exclusively sell bio-LNG, which is produced at EnviTec's own BioEnergie Park Güstrow, for example. Bio-LNG enables further significant CO2 savings compared to conventional fossil LNG.

“In terms of sales volumes, LIQVIS is a perfect match for the current production volumes of fuel-grade biomethane from our own plants in Forst, Friedland and Güstrow, among others,” says Jörg Fischer, CFO of EnviTec Biogas AG.
