H2 MOBILITY Builds Own Trailer Fleet to Strengthen Hydrogen Station Supply
H2 MOBILITY has established its own trailer fleet to enable a more independent supply of its hydrogen filling stations. A total of six hydrogen trailers are set to take over key parts of the supply chain; two of them have already entered regular operation following the completion of a test phase.
With its own trailers, the company aims to make hydrogen logistics more flexible and efficient. Compared to conventional delivery models, H2 MOBILITY can manage transport processes more autonomously and respond to fluctuations in demand at shorter notice. This is expected to reduce downtime and increase the availability of filling stations.
Each trailer has a capacity of 1,200 kilograms of hydrogen, distributed across 78 pressure vessels. The larger volumes transported per trip are intended to improve both the reliability and the cost-effectiveness of hydrogen supply. The vehicles are also designed to integrate seamlessly into existing infrastructure and allow for scalable expansion of logistics operations.
Frank Fronzke, Managing Director and COO of H2 MOBILITY, stated that reliable and economical supply is critical to scaling up climate-friendly mobility in heavy-duty transport. With its own trailer fleet, the company is also laying the groundwork to systematically optimise costs along the value chain.
